Texas Alliance of Accredited Schools (TAAPS)
Alliance for Psychoanalytic Schools (APS)
As an APS accredited school, The Journey School of Houston uses a psychodynamic approach to support children’s social-emotional development, facilitate the learning process, and problem solve. There is an understanding that feelings are central to all learning, that the inner feelings and thoughts of a child impact and are impacted by his relationships and experiences, and that helping children and parents understand their feelings leads to growth.
TJSH was the recipient of Texas Association for Gifted and Talented 2015 Innovative in Gifted award for meeting the unique needs of gifted children.
