Teach a small mixed-age group of bright students with social and emotional delays

Assist in developing and providing students with alternative course work through curriculum modification, acceleration, etc.

Assist in developing individual learning activities based on each student’s gifts, talents, abilities, social and emotional needs, and learning preferences

Plan and use appropriate instructional/learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflects accommodation for the individual needs of students.

Ensure academic, social, and emotional objectives are met

Participate in team meetings to provide feedback related to class design, pedagogical approach, and classroom tools

Manage student behavior in the classroom according to the school's therapeutic approach

Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required.

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.

Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing.

Use technologies in the teaching and learning processes.

Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members.
